Having built the base for this structure in the small village of Bourne by Cambridge we returned to construct it. Our client required low maintenance and fully paved inside so we laid a single course of solid red engineering brick on a concrete footing then laid smooth grey paving slabs on a base of compacted hardcore and wet bed of concrete. Next to the thatched cottage it looks beautiful.
